Sam Sheffer joins Humane as Head of New Media.

Sam got his professional start in tech media at age 19 with Engadget, where he rose from intern to contributing editor in two years. After Engadget, he spent four years building out The Verge’s social media and emerging platforms presence, growing multiple accounts to over one million followers. In 2015, Sam joined Mashable to lead its Snapchat Discover efforts and create video content for YouTube, Facebook Live, and Instagram. Before joining Humane, Sam created content independently, amassing a combined 1M followers across Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, and now creates content independently, full-time, for his audience. He has a deep passion for technology, music, sneakers, and streetwear.

In this new role, Sam will oversee efforts to reimagine the ever changing landscape of new media, with a focus on how Humane will engage its very dynamic and growing community of supporters and ensuing customers. Sam is an accomplished creator of community with nearly 14 years of technology focused narratives and coverage in the digital media space.
